On the one hand you report cases where academics have been dismissed for gross misconduct, having written personal complaints about their management on blogs or in circulated e-mails. On the other you report that after losing in tribunals and a court case for mishandling industrial relations London Metropolitan University is adopting playground-like tactics and refusing to recognise the nationally recognised union. This will surely bring the institution into real disrepute.
