An extra 拢130 million to encourage school pupils to consider university was announced by higher education minister Margaret Hodge this week as part of the AimHigher programme. The existing 91 AimHigher areas will get 拢70 million to continue until 2006, with 86 new areas getting around 拢60 million to join the scheme over the same period.
