Scotland has won a 5 per cent increase in cash awarded under the Science Research Investment Fund, amounting to 拢103 million, or 12.2 per cent of the available UK money. Edinburgh University has won the biggest total allocation from the Office of Science and Technology and the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council with more than 拢29 million over two years. Glasgow University is next with almost 拢23 million, followed by Dundee University with 拢11.5 million.
