The 探花视频 Latin America University Rankings 2017 use the same 13 performance indicators as the THE World University Rankings, recalibrated to reflect the qualities of Latin America’s institutions.
Universities are judged across all their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – to provide the most comprehensive comparisons available.
Brazil is home to the region’s best university, the State University of Campinas, and is also the most-represented nation in the list, claiming 32 of the 81 places, although 20 Brazilian universities have dropped places.
Of Mexico’s 13 representatives, six make the top 50, down from eight last year.
This year’s table ranks 81 institutions, up from 50 last year, from eight countries. Several notable Latin American universities are not ranked as they chose not to submit data.
