The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a motivated post-doctoral associate with a strong background in control systems and machine learning to join the research team of Prof. M. Umar B. Niazi. The position focuses on the development of digital twins using physics-informed learning approaches, with specific applications to intelligent transportation systems (ITS). In particular, the successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research in:


	Developing physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) for complex dynamical systems modeling and observer design
	Creating and validating digital twin architectures that incorporate physical laws and constraints
	Applying digital twin technology to ITS applications such as traffic management, vehicle routing, and infrastructure monitoring, as well as connected autonomous vehicles
	Integrating multi-modal sensor data with physics-based models
	Developing robust and adaptive methods for real-time parameter and state estimation
	Implementing machine learning approaches that preserve physical constraints while handling ITS-specific challenges


Required Qualifications:

	Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields

The Division is looking for experienced Assistant Professor of Teaching who will (1) teach multiple subjects in both undergraduate-level and postgraduate-level programmes in data science areas focusing on industrial data sciences, blockchain, data sciences, artificial intelligence, etc., (2) work on the promotions and admissions as well as the operations for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and (3) contribute to other administrative duties as required by the supervisors.

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a doctoral degree in a relevant data science, computer science, business, information systems, artificial intelligence, or other relevant areas; (ii) at least 3 years’ experience in teaching relevant courses and relevant programme administrative experience are required; and less teaching experience is also considered when the candidate has strong project or industrial experience, and (iii) good command of English and Chinese (including Mandarin).

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Lingnan University

Description

The Mathematics Program in the Science Division, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on one or more of the following topics: Mathematical Physics, Spectral Theory, Quantum Chaos, Large Graphs and Quantum Walks. Related areas such as Quantum Information can also be considered. This position is offered through the research funds of Mostafa Sabri.

The Mathematics Program at NYUAD is quickly expanding, the candidate will find many international experts and postdocs with whom to interact. Weekly seminars are in place across the various research areas represented at NYUAD. The successful applicant will also receive a mobility credit to participate in conferences.

Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics, with a strong background in one of the advertised topics, as well as an excellent academic record. Candidates with PhDs in Physics or Computer Science may also be considered if they willing to collaborate with mathematicians on these topics.

For consideration, applicants need to submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae with a full publication list, a research statement, a transcript, and at least two letters of reference, all in PDF format. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed twice. In the first interview, the candidate will give a talk summarizing earlier research. The second interview will be to discuss a research project in collaboration with Mostafa Sabri around the aforementioned topics. Description

The Robotics and Intelligent Systems Control Laboratory (RISC) at NYU Abu Dhabi invites qualified applicants with a doctorate degree in the areas of electrical or computer engineering or computer science, or related fields to apply. A strong publication record is encouraged, along with experience in machine learning model development and statistical learning.

The selected candidate will work on innovative AI methodologies in areas such as renewable energy integration (online forecasting tools and renewable energy management systems), smart transmission and distribution networks, AI-driven smart grid technologies, and demand response systems. The role involves conducting research, developing standalone and prototype AI solutions, and publishing in top-tier conferences and journals.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong publication record in AI-driven energy solutions. Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (MATLAB), as well as experience in statistical learning, and embedded systems, is required. Familiarity with cost-effective COTS-based environmental monitoring solutions is a plus. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in research-focused teams and contribute to innovative AI-driven solutions.

The Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is part of the School of Clinical Medicine with research interests including biomarker discovery, clinical applications and clinical trials. The Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy’s focus is improving efficacy and safety of medicines to create real world impact. This post is designed to marry expertise between pharmaceutical science and emergency medicine to address the grand challenges of this age in acute illness and injury. Our current disease focuses are stroke, sepsis and acute kidney injury. We are open to new additions.?

We welcome applications from basic or clinical scientists with background in emergency medicine, pharmacogenomics, data science, drug and/or biomarkers discovery, drug use optimisation, preclinical or clinical translation of medicines. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Pharmacology?or a related discipline.
