The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council has launched a Pounds 250,000 awards scheme to encourage scientists to communicate their research to the public. Under the "Partnerships for Public Understanding" scheme, awards of up to Pounds 40,000 are available to EPSRC research grant-holders and fellows. The closing date for proposals is September 11.
