Oxford University is to send promotional videos to about 4,000 secondary schools, further education and sixth-form colleges in a drive to recruit more state-sector pupils.
The ten-minute video illustrates life at Oxford, explaining the importance and strength of the college structure and the tutorial system. Appearing on the video, Oxford vice-chancellor Colin Lucas said:
"Whatever negative ideas you may have had about Oxford, forget them. We offer a unique opportunity and it is open to everyone."
